Medical Front Desk Assistant are responsible for maintaining a friendly, professional environment as our patients' first and last point of contact. They must be polite, attentive, and organized to enhance the patient experience.

We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Medical Front Desk Assistant  to join our outstanding team at Eye Care Specialists located in Kingston, PA. The Medical Front Desk Assistant  plays a crucial role in our practice, greeting patients as they enter, checking in and out, scheduling, and performing other administrative tasks.

 

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients in person and on the phone.
• Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
• Notifying providers of patient arrivals.
• Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering questions                      or referring questions to the appropriate team member. 
• Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
• Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
• Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, and I am willing to train the right candidate.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
