Overview

At Vision Innovation Partners, we exist to protect and restore vision. Because Vision is our Mission, everyone at VIP focuses on providing great patient outcomes and experiences. A career at VIP provides opportunities for growth and development, and a culture centered on our Shared Values – PATIENTS.

We are seeking an exceptional Surgical Coordinator who is passionate about creating an outstanding patient experience while guiding patients through the decision-making process for cataract and refractive surgery.

This is much more than a scheduling role. We're looking for someone who can establish genuine connections with patients, clearly explain their surgical options, and provide the guidance and reassurance they need to confidently move forward with surgery. Success in this role comes from strong communication, active listening, and the ability to help patients understand the value of advanced technology lens options that align with the physician's recommendations.

Do you have a gift for building trust, educating patients, and helping them feel confident in important healthcare decisions? Are you energized by meaningful conversations and motivated by helping patients take the next step toward better vision?

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Meet with patients after their consultation to review the physician's surgical recommendations.
  • Educate patients on surgery options in a clear, compassionate, and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Build trusting relationships that help patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their decisions.
  • Guide patients through their surgical journey, including education, financial discussions, scheduling, and preparation for surgery.
  • Follow up with patients who are considering surgery, answer questions, address concerns, and help them take the next step when they are ready.
  • Coordinate surgery schedules while ensuring all documentation, authorizations, and pre-operative requirements are completed accurately.
  • Work closely with physicians and the clinical team to provide a seamless and exceptional patient experience.
  • Strive to achieve scheduling and patient engagement goals while maintaining the highest level of compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

 What You Will Bring:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable discussing  surgical options not covered by insurance and helping patients understand the benefits of advanced technology.
  • Confident, personable, and skilled at guiding conversations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to achieving practice goals.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Excellent comprehensive benefits
  • 401(K)
  • Significant eye care discounts
  • Continuing education allowances
  • Career growth and development
  • PTO and holidays off
